I was going to write a blog today, but I became distracted by Television; I had the page open, I had my subject ready and then, the show came on, and I started watching, so I thought: "During the commercial break...".
That's when it hit me, when even within my own mind, that's when I decided to stop watching T.V. and come write this blog about the incredible ways in which television atrophies the mind, how it becoms so entrancing, that's why they call it the "idiot box".
So, this time and attention consuming device, this is just one of many, the difference about this one from the rest is this is the most devoid of worth while, intelectually stimulating material, also, along with the radio the only one where you can't control the content you view, you have to choose from what is there already, but at least the radio isn't so entrancing.
In conclusion, T.V. can be entertaining, but don't stop doing other things to give attention to this apparatus, go read a book, check out the news online, go outside and take in the fresh air and engorge your senses with all of that beauty outside of that contraption that provides so little.
