Top 5 No. 4

Continuing on with the subject of top 5's, here's another one that will save many a youth (and some not so young) the embarassment of a crappy power point presentation, these are mistakes of the amateur and they seem childish, I'm sure you, my readers don't commit any of these, but lets explore them anyways:
Top 5 power point presentation don'ts

Number 5:

Don't oversaturate your slides with text, no one will be able to read it, it'll just be annoying, it makes it boring and if people do read it, then you'll lose their attention at the hands of the monster you just created.

Number 4:

Choose your colors carefully! if your backgrounds are too bright, that'll just strain the eyes and that's another reason for you to lose your audience, as interesting as it may be, if you can't look at it, well... what's the point?

Number 3:

Please don't use too many animations, don't abuse them; Animations may be a nice touch every now and then, but if your slides look like a baskeball game, jumping all over the place in all sorts of strange motions, that's distracting and it looks very unprofessional, people will laugh at you just like Jimmy Johnson did in the sixth grade everyday before he pulled your pants down.

Number 2:

This is a very big one: don't write everyithing you are going to say in your slides, it's a simple one to figure out but please take your time to think... done? It renderes you completly useless.

Number 1:

You'd think that this was a no-brainer, that I wouldn't even have to mention it, but you'd be surprised, If you forget what you were going to say and become frustrated, don't bang your head on the computer and loudly scream obscenities, you're going to have to trust me on this one, just don't.
